Deep confusion and thus..

Please, enough with the symbols of life.
The elephant is smart,
the donkey has pride.
The lion, the snake,
need no royal ties.
No scepter and throne,
no statues of stone.
The sunrise is ours; nature's and mine.
No dawn claimed by men
shall capture that shine.
Shells on the beach,
honed by the tide.
You can't bottle that essence
with oil drums destined for smog,
lest you draw shut your blinds
and ride one the backs
a few well directed
barely-not-lies.

I'd say I'm pro-earth
and neutral, on blame.
But I'm anti-this-endless-and-dangerous-game.
Grounds grow our food, but we outsource the job,
to the live-stock stock market,
and the fields of rainbow lies
that can survive under the clouds of thick smog.

I can't make heads or tails
of which one's in this burger.
I'll flip a gold coin,
I mean copper.
I mean, paper.
I mean paper.
I mean paper.
